Job Specification

  • Provide person-centred care and support with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, nutrition and daily routines.
  • Promote residents' dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing in everything you do.
  • Support residents to participate in activities, social opportunities and everyday tasks that promote their quality of life.
  • Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents' health, behaviour or wellbeing to senior staff.
  • Assist with medication in accordance with training, policies and procedures, where required.
  • Maintain accurate daily care records and communicate important information during handovers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, residents' families and healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive safe and consistent care.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care, support work or healthcare setting is desirable.
  • A Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards one, is desirable.
  • A caring, patient and respectful approach with a genuine commitment to person-centred care.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate records.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, bank holidays and nights where required.
