Introduction

Are you an experienced Care Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? Could you lead by example while ensuring residents receive safe, dignified and person-centred care? Verovian Nursing Agency is looking for a Senior Care Assistant in Neston, Cheshire, to join a residential care setting, supporting residents with their daily needs while providing guidance and support to the wider care team.

Job Specification - Provide person-centred care, supporting residents with personal care, mobility, dressing, nutrition and daily routines while promoting dignity and independence. - Safely administer and record medication in line with relevant policies and procedures. - Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing. - Take responsibility for coordinating the care team during shifts, allocating duties and leading effective handovers. - Support, mentor and guide Care Assistants and new members of staff, leading by example. - Maintain accurate care records, medication records and incident reports while ensuring safeguarding and health and safety standards are followed. - Communicate effectively with residents, families, GPs, district nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding residents' care and wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements - Minimum 2 years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential, nursing or domiciliary care setting. - NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, or currently working towards it. - Experience or relevant training in medication administration, safeguarding and moving & handling. - Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. - A compassionate, person-centred approach with flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, bank holidays and occasional nights.
